On 1 April 2017, a half day technical Seminar about “New advances in monitoring and remote sensing” organised by the IOM3 Hong Kong Branch was held. 117 participates were joined to this event.
The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) is a major UK engineering institution whose activities encompass the whole materials cycle, from exploration and extraction, through characterization, processing, forming, finishing and application, to product recycling and land reuse. It exists to promote and develop all aspects of materials science and engineering, geology, mining and associated technologies, mineral and petroleum engineering and extraction metallurgy, as a leading authority in the worldwide materials and mining community.
With the growing demand for Instrumentation Monitoring and Remote Sensing in the industry, technology in this aspect has been being developed rapidly over the past few years. This seminar will take the participants through the presentations by pioneers in the industry – experts from University, Consultants Contractors, and Suppliers, to the new advance of this state-of-art technology.
Geosys Managing Director Sr. Jack Zhang, shared the latest advanced surveying and mapping technologies to the IOM members at the seminar.
