The project of Development of a Common Spatial Data Infrastructure – Built Environment Application Platform – Feasibility Study completed by Geosys Hong Kong, Arup and Dassault System for Planning Department, Hong Kong SAR Government has won the 2020 ISOCARP Grand Award for Excellence (AfE) from The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) after years of development of The Building Environment Application Platform (BEAP).
In development of the BEAP, Geosys tapped spatial data of Common Spatial Data Infrastructure (CSDI) and used a digital twin approach to enable a better spatial planning. By the Built Environment Information Dashboard developed, capabilities of BEAP including site and facility planning, urban greenery analysis, and data visualization, management and operation for multiple users on centralized platform empower the planning of Hong Kong as a smart city.
